Below is an example of the typical day of a Carer A typical day of a Carer Arise and prepare the house for the day (draw curtains, open windows etc) Feed & walk any pets Deliver Tea/Breakfast, Newspaper & Post in bed or to desired location Prompt/Assist with any medication requirements Prepare bathroom for washing Assist with all aspects of personal care if necessary (inc toileting, bathing etc) Assist with dressing & hair care etc Perform household duties (cleaning/laundry) Accompany Client to shops/dentist/doctor/hairdresser/ friends or family Prepare and serve lunch Perform household duties (cleaning/laundry) Prepare and serve dinner. Close down the house for the night (close curtains, turn on night lights, lock doors & windows etc) Draw a bath and prepare bedroom Assist with all aspects of personal care & undressing, ready for bed. Deliver a warm drink & tuck in for the night.
